About Me

I live in a small town in New England with my husband and our two daughters.  While I enjoyed growing up here and love the beauty of all four seasons, I often dream of living somewhere warmer, especially during the cold winter months. ❄  

When I'm not writing, I'm dreaming about Disney vacations or binge-watching new shows.  

I have loved books and reading since I can remember, but never in my life had I given a thought to becoming an author.  In 2020 I listened to a podcast and heard an author speaking about the Wattpad platform and something in her words struck me.  I realized that I had all these ideas that had been swirling around in my head for years, but I had never explored the idea of putting them down on paper, not to mention actually sharing them.  I'm not sure what it was about that podcast, but it was like a lightbulb and suddenly I knew it was something I had to try.

I got a notebook and pen - literally.  My entire story was handwritten before I even typed a single word on my computer.  I started writing and couldn't stop, and An Instant Attraction was born, although it was originally titled She Will Be Loved as a little tribute to my love of music and the Maroon 5 song of the same name.  After A LOT of editing and an almost full re-write I finally completed my first story in Sept. 2020.  

While I was incredibly proud of my story and my accomplishment, I was also extremely scared to share my work.  I held my breath and took the leap, putting my story out on Wattpad.  

At that point, I had also done some research and decided to go all in and self-publish.  An Instant Attraction was published as an e-book and paperback on Sept. 27, 2020!

Being an unknown, self-published author can be discouraging, to say the least.  You feel like you've done so much work and it's rough when no one is reading it, but that is the nature of the beast.  Between Sept. and Oct. 2020 I only had a couple hundred reads on Wattpad and had sold a few copies through Amazon...mostly to supportive family members and friends.  ❤

Something changed in Nov. 2020.  An Instant Attraction started to gain notice on Wattpad and it was amazing to see it grow.  In a matter of weeks it went from a couple hundred reads to a couple hundred thousand!!  While there are plenty of other Wattpad stories and writers with higher numbers and rankings, I truly couldn't believe how my numbers seemed to multiply overnight.  I am so incredibly thankful for the Wattpad community and all of my readers.

I have so many ideas for new stories that I feel like I can't get them down on paper fast enough.  While I'm excited to keep writing and publish more books, I also want to make sure that I produce quality stories that my readers will enjoy.  I want to take the time to develop my characters and create realistic and relatable stories.  

Book 2 of the Attraction Series, An Unforgettable Attraction was published on January 28, 2021 and is available in e-book and paperback.  A preview of the first few chapters is also available on Wattpad.

I have three separate standalone projects that I've started...one is almost finished.  I'm thinking a spring or summer 2021 release!

I am so incredibly grateful to have found this new passion and I know that without you choosing to read my books, none of this would even be possible.  I can't even begin to express my gratitude.
